Ben and I spent Sunday working with the Shires at the East of England Autumn Show. Usually the Wisbech Shire Horse Society holds their annual show here but, due to rising costs from the showground, this year they held it a month earlier at Sacrewell Farm instead. The show went well, despite an unbelievably crazy thunderstorm on Saturday! We'd seen the clouds approaching and the sky getting darker all morning, and about an hour or so before we were due to go back in the ring for our second demo the skies opened and dumped everything they had on us. Long time no typey ... I'm currently living in Surrey (for the majority of my time) and I have been an unemployed loser for just under 2 weeks now. I was lazy today and rode two horses but did no yard work at all. Sacrewell held a Spooky Halloween Spectacular on the evenings of Friday through to Sunday, which saw the whole farm dressed up with suitably creepy themes. The main attraction was a tractor ride, which took visitors on a trip around the farm and pass various scenes. Elf and I were one of these ( Read more... )
